"COURSE SP2" IS REQUIRED AS A PREREQUISITE FOR THE ADVANCED LEVEL COURSE.

DAY 1
LECTURE/DISCUSSION:
Handling implant placement in poor density bone.
Dental Implant Surgery Courses
Correct angulation of multiple implant placement.
Rules of immediate loading.
Techniques of immediate loading.
Phlebotomy techniques.
Benefits and uses of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
Advanced bone biology.
Treatment planning for complex cases.
Uses of MRI / CT scans for planning.
Sinus Grafting techniques.
Autogenous Block and J-Block grafting techniques.
Various types of Membranes and Grafting materials, and their indications.

LIVE SURGERY (Over the shoulder):
Observe a complex surgery patient including either sinus grafting, block grafting, or complex implant placement.

HANDS ON WORKSHOP:
After viewing the surgery, you will go through the skills demonstrated and apply the principles in a surgical workshop. You will place implants, or grafting materials, into a plastic Mandibular Arch model (“SEE, TOUCH, LEARN”).

DISCUSSION:
View various complex Implant Cases (Step by Step) with Digital Photos and PowerPoint presentations. Dr. Leigh’s meticulous ‘step-by-step’ process helps the Implant Dentist fully understand the often complex implant procedures.

DAY 2
DISCUSSION
Considerations in full mouth reconstruction.
Block Grafting techniques:
    Ramus / Tuberosity Block Graft.
    Chin Block Graft.
    J-Block grafting procedure.
Sinus Grafting Protocols.
Subperiosteal indications, uses, and techniques.
Nerve repositioning, Ridge Splitting and Osteotome
Expansion Techniques.

DAY 1 AND/OR DAY 2 (Time permitting).

HANDS ON WORKSHOP: “SEE, TOUCH, LEARN”

Learn step-by-step grafting and prosthetic techniques on models under the guidance of our Implant Team, and learn how to choose component parts for your prosthetic appointments.
