as the Diamond Standard for tooth replacement. At the Implant Smile Center Teaching
Facility, our highly
trained staff will guide you through a "Hands-on" approach to the art, science,
and techniques of Implant
procedures, with Break-out Sessions, Hands-on Workshops and Live Surgeries.

environment for the relevant and recent advancements in the field of Dental Implants.
Dr. Leigh is a
Diplomate of the American Board of Oral
Implantology /
Implant Dentistry,
a Fellow of the American
Academy of
Implant Dentistry,
and a Diplomate of the
International
Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He is a Graduate of the Medical
College of Georgia/AAID
Maxi-Course in
Implant Dentistry and a Graduate of the Midwest Implant
Institute. He is also
President
of the A.A.I.D. Study
Club/Mentor 2 Program
(Alberta), and a
founding member of the AAID Speaker's
Guild. Dr Leigh is
the Founder and
Director of the Implant Smile Center ... a
state-of-the-art
surgical and
teaching
facility for Dental Implants and Advanced Reconstructive
and Cosmetic
Dentistry. Dr. Leigh Graduated
as a general dentist from the
University of
Western Ontario Dental School in 1975
where he received his
Doctor
of
Dental Surgery Degree and, shortly
after, began placing and restoring
dental
implants. Since then, he has
limited
his practice exclusively to Dental
Implantology, and Advanced
Cosmetic Dentistry, and performs both
the Surgical
and Prosthetic
Phases of Implant
Dentistry at all levels
of
difficulty.
Dr. Leigh has been consistently praised for his
thorough, detailed, and methodical
teaching approach. Yet his
calm
and easygoing demeanor, even under the most difficult surgical
procedures, demonstrates his confidence
and
expertise in the field of implant dentistry. Based on his advanced training in
dental implants, and his years
of placing and restoring dental implants, he is arguably one of Canada's
more
experienced practitioners
of Dental
Implantology. The courses
he offers are designed in a logical, practical, and step-by-step
manner.
Purposefully, the Courses are limited
to a smaller number of individuals, in order that attendees have
a more
personalized learning experience. Group, or individual-client "custom-tailored", surgical and prosthetic
training
programs are available, as well
as 5 and 10 day mini-residency courses. Custom-tailored Courses will not be
available until 2008.
The Courses feature
live surgery with our
patients; or, if you prefer, with one of your patients. The Staff at
the
Implant Smile Center Teaching Facility will guide you through every aspect of
the Implant procedure,
including
marketing, implant/restorative complications problem solving, clinical digital
photography and record
keeping,
transfer impression techniques and overdenture attachments, advanced bone
grafting procedures,
and implant
prosthetic techniques.
Our Professional Team (Our Ultimate Implant
Team) is committed to ongoing
education in the advancement of
skills, understanding, and
outstanding patient care.
All of the members of the
Surgical Team are Registered Dental
Assistants (R.D.A.)
Level
II, and are
members of the Association of Dental Implant
Auxiliaries and
Practice
Management (an
affiliate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists).
